    The other reason you don't need to send people to your web site is that it's easier to reach them WHERE THEY ALREADY ARE. Most folks spend time on Facebook or Twitter or their small social media channels (like Ning sites) instead of MY web site.

    It's the difference between asking someone to come pick up their mail at the post office or delivering it to their door. Both get them the info but one is a lot more convenient for the end user.
