How to Write a Killer Blog Post in Only 5 Minutes (if you can’t see this video)

Wow Justin, I have to get so much better at this!! I also find it hard to come up with short blogs that only take 5 minutes, but I have to remember that a thought can be enough of a blog. Thanks!

Just find your style and stay with it Jon. I love you're blog…you're
    doing great!

A technique I use Justin to improve efficiency is called the Pomodoro Technique. I've used it effectively over the past year. It's basically using a timer in 25-minute blocks. 25 minutes is what works for me, whether on a blog or other task. The website is http://www.pomodorotechnique.com/. Different folks use different time lengths as their “pomodoro”, but 25 is a good starting point for most tasks, or group of similar tasks.

I love it Kevin, thanks for sharing!

Great blog and great advice. Even with pics and hyperlinks I always keep my blog time short. Love the shirt. I have the same one.

Well, you can't argue with a guy who wears the same clothes. Thanks David!

I use this technique, too. I actually use http://e.ggtimer.com/pomodoro and it keeps me on track during the day.

Oddly enough I discovered Pomodoro through an app on my Droid X. I haven’t used it consistently, but it is a really powerful way of thinking and focusing yourself.

Yeah… so my blogs are taking me between 30 and 45 minutes on average for between 400 to I think the max is a little over 700 words.

I know I need to get quicker and I really like the timer idea. 5 to 10 minutes, huh? I was thinking 20. Guess I was aiming a little low.

I’ll try this timer technique and see how it goes.
