It’s Easier to Stay Home

TravelingIt’s easier to stay home. You won’t get hit by a car or die in a car crash.

Relaxing on the couch, not sitting in traffic.

The comfort of your home offers a warm bed with no chance of cold rain.

These were my thoughts as I woke up from a nap on the other side of the world last week. As Marketing Director for the Exodus Road I’m in a foreign country giving our bloggers a tour during the day and working undercover cases at night.

I was tired after a nap that was just a bit too long and I didn’t want to leave my room. It would have been easier to get some local food and turn on the TV.

Pushing myself out the door is what it took to meet a girl, stuck in a brothel, who needed a bit of love that only I could give her. She changed my life and I hope I changed a part of hers. We’re coming for you!

Moving through the door changes your life. Many people never leave the couch.

It’s awesome to see the life-changing work you’re continually invested in. As John Eldredge says, we need a battle to fight and an adventure to live. You definitely won’t find the abundant life at home on the couch.

“Moving through the door changes your life. Many people never leave the couch.”
Great wisdom and councel in those words. I need to push myself out the door more and get involved in life instead of watching it pass me by.

You and Exodus Road are doing amazing work!
