Jason had a bad week last week (trust me, it was a bad week for him) and asked how to keep going when life gets you down; when you fail. How do you overcome the resistance?

We talked about Stephen Pressfield’s latest book, Do the Work.

Andy Traub is my expert on this and he joins me on this show. He says the answer to resistance is assistance.

You have to get beyond the idea stage and take action.

I asked Andy, “If a person isn’t going to do the work, should they even waste their time listening to Coach Radio?”

I’ll help you turn your ideas into a business that changes the world (and your bank account). Here’s how.

Walter HarrillWalter Harrill and his wife, Wendy, were lab techs before farming caught their eye. I asked Walter if he felt scared in making a transition into a business where farmers seem to be losing their farms left and right. He told me he was terrified!

The Harrill’s are  running a farm which their great grandparents started in the late 1700s. It used to be a subsistence farm where the family grew their own food; that’s just the way things worked back then.

It took them four to five years to transition from lab techs in hospitals to become full time farmers. Wendy quickly figured out hospital work wasn’t the best fit for them and made sure to inform Walter.

  • How I start my day

coachradio-cover

I’m experimenting with a three day workweek this summer and I share thoughts and updates. Could it work for you?

Also, I’m giving away a video camera. Will you help me vote for a winner?

Listeners called and wrote in with these questions:

Michael Good: Which is better, a product based business or a service based business? For example: My wife has a passion for horses. She could have a product based business and sell horse tack online or develop an equine hair conditioner and sell that either wholesale or retail. She could also have a service based business where she would braid manes and tails for riders getting ready for a show or perhaps become an equine massage therapist. Would one have more overhead or be slower to get off the ground than the other? It seems like a lot of people on Free Agent Academy and 48days.net have service based businesses and I’m wondering why that is. Perhaps that’s not the case.

Thanks for your thoughts,
Michael
