- The importance of a 2-3 year plan
Next week I’ll be talking about major changes in my life, some of which may affect you. I’ll also have a blog post out this week detailing some changes. For now, I’m answering questions.
Dallon: I have a new on-demand CMA review product and I’m using AWeber for my e-mail marketing. I’ve tried most of the major customer relationship management (CRM) systems, but I’ve shied away from them for lack of integration with other tools – especially Evernote. I know you have used Salesforce for many years, and I have a few questions about it.
- How well does Salesforce integrate with tools like Google Apps (my e-mail/contact/calendar tool), Evernote, and marketing forms like AWeber?
- Since you are a huge Evernote user (as I am), do you have any hacks to make the two work together?
- What other tips do you have for making sure your CRM actually helps you get more done instead of just being another system to manage?
I’d take a serious look at Podio. I’ve been using it for a few months on different projects and loving it so far.
Roger: I’ve recently started blogging again at RogerBenge.com. I have a series of posts that I am putting under the same wordpress category. What I would like to do is display a list of all the posts in that category on each post in that category so the reader can easily see the other posts in the series. I don’t want the list to show up in any posts not in that category. Is there a plugin that can accomplish this?
Anna: I’m a newly certified life coach who dreams of becoming a business coach. I’m thinking about creating a coaching offer around life coaching because I feel very confident in my method and I believe I can deliver lasting results. What I’m more passionate about, though, is more business related things like marketing. I have a lot of theoretical marketing knowledge but not much practical and lack credibility.
Would you advise me to start with my first option since I have more credibility and confidence there, only to move on to marketing and business advice later, or should I find a more direct path towards my goal?
And if you would advice me to do the latter, how do I market myself as a marketing coach when I don’t have much experience? Would you advice helping some people for free?

I’ll help you turn your ideas into a business that changes the world (and your bank account). Here’s how.
