I was a little scared in this episode because there’s a lot of hype out there (mostly online) about making absurd amounts of money as a coach — or any business for that matter.
This isn’t a pie in the sky or head in the clouds sort of plan. I take you step by step through the plan that I’ve used and help my clients achieve. I also share with you why I don’t stick to this plan any more. The answer may surprise you.

Chris wrote in with some great questions:
- Time management — how do I build my business when I have 2 young kids at home who drain my energy?
- What did I do to build my business when I spent all that time in hotel room?
- What are some tips/suggestions regarding working from home?
- How to develop an economic model like Jim Collins talks about in his book Good to Great?
- What would it take to work with me?
I need help. If you’d like to be featured in our studio, send me a signed book cover, CD, DVD, something you made, etc. and I’ll hang it on our wall. Thousands of people will see it each month. It must be tasteful and something I support. Here’s our address.

google voice – If I started out in business today, I’d sign up for this free service right away.
themarriagebed.com – Believe it or not, I used to jump into the financial section of the forum here and help people. It’s the same strategy I teach today in social media and it works. This website hasn’t been redesigned since I did that four years ago, but it’s a safe place.
google.com/analytics – Find out how many visitors you have and where they’re coming from.
Leroy pointed out this is a good option for an office, but you have to live in England.

How to motivate the people you work with. It’s very draining to work with clients who don’t do the work and see improvements.
Have you identified your target market and ideal client? I give you a brief overview of how to do it.
Jason Whichard worked with us recently and wrote in to say “I just got a call from a lady who is looking for a financial coach and she just said “your site looked the best of the ones I look at.”
