Operational Beautiful is about posting notes with positive messages in them around the world in public places. Caitlin recently launched the site out of an idea she had and it’s now a world-wide movement.

Caitlin mentioned she’s received videos, pictures, and postcards from every continent in the world, except for Antarctica so I took it upon myself to get one for her.

“If you don’t give opportunities space to grow, they’ll always stay small.”
- Caitlin’s mom

Healthy Tipping Point was started only 2.5 years ago. Caitlin blogs three times per day.  She’s supported by the BlogHer network and now makes a full time income from her website.

“There really is no such thing as bad press.” - Caitlin Boyle

Operation Beautiful

Caitlin was mentioned in Marie Claire magazine, but not in a good way. You’ll hear how she overcame that and what she did to move past it.

Even if you don’t think the critics are right, they have a point.

Caitlin’s now working on a tweens book.

    This had some great takeaways:

-Caitlin wants to do a lot with her life so she had better get started early! : That is GREAT advice. Advice I wish I had followed. Instead I kind of waited around a bit thinking things would MAGICALLY just happen for me. Guess what? They didn’t! So now I’m getting a later start than I could have gotten. FULL STEAM AHEAD now though!
-Owning her own business would provide more security than working for someone else. : HOW AWESOME IS THAT! I just had this discussion with two people yesterday! It’s what is propelling me into getting A Better Way of Business up and running.
-Self doubt is her biggest hang up and her biggest motivator. : I’m with you there. At least with the hang up bit. I’m working on the motivator thing.
-Justin! How in the world did you get someone to do you FAVOR at THE SOUTH POLE! And then you try and say it was easy!!! WOW!
-Small opportunities snowball into big ones! : Great concept. My blog tomorrow will be talking about just this. But instead of snow I say take one step after another step to get to your dreams.
-Network and connect with others. Partner with others to get your business going better. : I just started an experiment with this. Well I guess I didn’t just start, b/c I’ve been building relationships, but I’ll soon have a cool series launched by doing just this!
-If you don’t give opportunities the space to grow they will always remain small. : This one rocked me. I’ve always tried to grow opportunities in my head. Now I have a REALLY BIG head, but not enough room to grow opportunities, so they wither and die. Great point!
-There’s really no such thing as bad press. It’s how you deal with it that matters. : Bad press, sucky people online, seems to be a theme I’ve come across a lot the last week and a half. I just pray I don’t have to deal with it anytime soon.

Great show! And I emailed Skye the link to Caitlin’s recipes so we can try some at home!
