James Dibben is a Blue Collar Coach in Kasas City and hosts a podcast network to help contractors succeed in their businesses.  I met James at a Free Agent Academy event a while back, where I’m a leader.

James has been a cabinet installer for the past 11 years.  He’s been featured on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in Kansas City not once, but twice.

The Confident Business Model was put together as a result of our coaching together.  James led a class in Kansas City initially to help blue collar businesses get a hold of their success.

Debt has been a major player in the life of James. You can hear his story in episode #5.

James says he hired me because he wanted to be a coach, but didn’t know where to start.

“If you have ideas, you’re ready to start.  You don’t need to have it all figured out.” – James Dibben

Great job Justin and James. It’s a bit late, around 10 PM, but now headed on over to “Episode 5″ to hear more about, (and for some more inspiration!) my buddy James. Awesome! Great stuff!!!
And Justin, I hope you don’t start charging for all these great shows and great content. This could get pretty expensive!

I’ll never charge Archie. Thanks for being a faithful listener.

As always being on Coach Radio is a lot of fun.

Archie, you are such a source of encouragement for me. Thank you for being a part of this community.

So I was just minding my own business and I noticed James was talking about me on Twitter. Then I realize that I must have been mentioned on a radio show because some other people found me. So I broke down and skipped ahead in the Coach Radio podcasts (I started from the beginning about a month ago) and found you guys talking about me.

Thank you for the mentions and thank you for all the encouragement and info both James and Justin.

What can I say? I’m a Josh Bulloc fan!

Now that I think about it I believe you were the first person to contact me through my podcasting and blogging.

    Maybe even written letter too.

  • http://bluecollarradionetwork.com James Dibben

Yup, you sent me a note too!

That’s what I meant when I said you were fearless. It’s true, brother.

I love making stories. I’ll send you a book, Josh. I hope you find it
    helpful.

Maybe that is a potential show: it is hard for us to see how we are compared to other people because we are our only reference point (we cannot read other’s minds). For instance, I have been told I am a very hard worker many times by my supervisors but I actually feel like I am pretty lazy. Another example is the fearless comment. I know I have some irrational fears that affect the decisions I make in my business but then I have you tell me that I am fearless. So it can be helpful to get outside input on yourself.

If it is anything like your podcasts then I know it will be.

Gentlemen, I needed this today. I’m going to hunt James down. He seems like a man I need to know. I’ve loved the 3 shows I’ve heard with him. So James, I’m Ivan. Looking forward to getting to know you.

I also love the bit near the end where James said the two of you sat down and figured out a plan for where he wanted to go with his business. AND THEN HE DEVIATED PLENTY as he got out there and DID IT! Looking at my own case, and knowing so many others like me, there is SUCH A NEED for people who can motivate others to action. Once you break the inertia of inaction you can REALLY get your life moving where you want.

This was so timely for me today. It seems like my entire week has been one confirmation after another telling me my life is heading in the right direction. Thanks, guys.

    Everyone needs to know James.

Don’t ever be afraid to deviate from your plans, Ivan.
