I LOVE the idea of building an “information empire”. I’ve been thinking that way, but with out the awesome sounding title of “information empire”. Be out there with a website, newsletter, podcasts, commenting on blogs and articles. BE OUT THERE as a good source of valuable information.

I’ve got a question for you if you have a second. Are newsletters still valuable? If so, what are they adding to a business? TOMA?

The second take away I got is what I’m calling “shiny object syndrome”.  West mentioned at the very end that he had to step away from everyone giving him ideas and just focus on one goal for his business. I thought that was very sound information. Even though I have the complete opposite problem. One of my strengths is my ability to focus. However, like many things in my life, I take that strength to EXTREMES and frequently turn it to a negative because I will be so focused on what I see as my goal I will miss every and any opportunity or warning sign that pops up. Focus vs shiny object syndrome is going to be a blog post by me in the near future.
