Tony and Alisa DiLoreno are Marriage Coaches in San Diego, CA.

Tony popped an interesting question to his wife Alisa a few years back. Their marriage was on the rocks and he proposed 60 days of sex. Alisa said yes and it’s one factor that helped change their marriage for the better.

In July of 2009 they were invited to tell their story at a marriage retreat to which 40 couples showed up.  That’s how they first realized it was something they were passionate about.  (Get out of your comfort zone!)

Formula for their success

  • Get results
  • Be passionate
  • Get out of your comfort zone

After the first or second meeting I gave homework to them to write a book…and it’s almost done!

Andrew Krieman posted this quote in the chat: “Marriage is not a noun; it’s a verb. It isn’t something you get. It’s something you do. It’s the way you love your partner every day.” – Barbara De Angelis

Revenue streams:

  • Speaking
  • Book and product sales
  • Coaching

Tony and Alisa are working 20-30 hours per week to launch ONE.

How are they getting the word out?  Their podcast is a big promotion source for them.

They’re using all three suggestions I have to build content: written word, audio and video.

I’m still listening to this one as I type, but I wanted to put this down before I forgot.

I like something Tony just mentioned. That he and Alisa took the camera and went somewhere and filmed 8 videos that they will release over the next two months.

What I like is the lumping together of activities. They took the camera and filmed 8 shows that will be put out over 2 months. THAT BUILDS CONSISTENCY. Which from my understanding is so important.

I’m sure you’re aware that Dan Miller does this. I’ve heard him say on his podcast that he sits down and writes all his blog posts one morning each week. Then he puts them (or has someone, not sure) on his site each day.

This makes it appear that he’s doing it every day. But really he’s sitting down, getting into the flow of it and hammering out the task.

Now you can still write a blog that’s pressing for a specific day, but for all those days you don’t want to do something, you’ve already done it.

I plan on putting this into play once I’m up and running (maybe even tonight).

The other thing that I really like from this is “get over yourself”. I’m a perfectionist. And I’ll spend 5 hours for something that should take 5 minutes. And I like you’re saying I’ve heard in other shows… wait… maybe FAA… don’t remember… don’t ruin good with perfect.
