Eric Sherer is a Financial Coach in Bethlehem, PA.

Eric shares his story about getting out of debt and using his experiences to help others do the same.

He currently works in air traffic control and is building his business on the side.

Eric’s advice – don’t coach people in their own homes, be yourself.

How to get the word out – speaking, newsletter.  Drip value into the lives of people and they’ll become clients six month later.

“Building a business is like raising a child.”

“Building a business is a marathon rather than a sprint.”

    Justin,
I really enjoy your new focus for this year on interviewing other coaches. Thanks!
    P.S.: Sprint = 100 meters, Mile = 4 laps or approximately 1600 meters

Thanks for clearing that up for me Andy. It's all coming back to me from high school track now.

Ha. I talked to Skye about this yesterday and today at lunch and we’re going to talk about it more this evening. I’m going to start taking probably 2, maybe 3 if needed, nights each Monday to Friday and start devoting it to “the dream”.

Then on top of that, after these up coming two weekends I’m going to stop participating in our typical weekend activities to a large extent. I’m going to block out a chunk during each Saturday and then again on Sunday afternoons. Still going to devote time to Skye and Alexander, but I need to focus on creating the future and story I want instead of instant entertainment gratification.

I’m going to try and implement something I heard Dan Miller talk about. I want to start writing blog post (I will write some and hopefully record audio for others) in batches. Then putting 2, maybe 3 out a week. Either MWF or TTh.

I’m gong to take your and Kevin’s advice. Even though I’m not 100% certain I know my focus, I’m going to start building a history.

Great place to start, Ivan. I’d use the WordPress Editorial Calendar (
    http://www.coachradio.tv/how-i-use-the-wordpress-editorial-calendar) to
schedule them out. Figure out what your schedule is going to be then make it
    happen.

    efforts to refine your focus.
