Remember, it's only temporary, Ivan. I did it for 20 months and it was very
much worth it.

Ha! I put an idea you talked about here in practice two weeks ago. I made a spreadsheet of a typical work week in 15 minute blocks. It basically boils down to if I sleep less than 7 hours a night I have 3 hours of "free time" any given week day. Now this "free time" also happens to be the only time I'd get to play with Alexander, my 22 month old. Majority of my day is filled with work, commute, and getting ready for work / daycare for Little Man.

It depressed me, honestly. I thought I was wasting a ton of time... and I do waste some... but I don't have a lot to waste.

The weekends are a little different and I definitely need to utilize that time towards my dream of starting a business.

I also liked your suggestion... ok... not like, but think I might try and put it into play at my house of asking Skye to take say two nights a week as her and Alexander time and let me spend my 3 hours of "free time" hashing out business ideas and getting things rolling.

Good stuff Justin

This is something that Alisa and I deal with everyday. We have two kids as well and working out of our kitchen gets a bit tight. What we have decided to do is make our time that we are working on ONE intentional. We plan this time into our schedule and then make the most out of that time. We have large Post-it notes around our kitchen with ideas. These keep us focused on the tasks at hand. There are many late nights and early morning, but we are beginning to see the fruits of our labor.
