My guest is Andy Traub as we drive through the icy mountain roads of Colorado on our way to a Free Agent Academy event. We discuss monetizing something you enjoy doing and give the example of my brother who is pursuing his passion of outdoor sports and snow skiing.

We also give some insight into how we’re making money while being out of town, away from our offices.

Andy also gives some great insight on why he hired me as a coach and why he continues to pay to work with me.  (Full disclosure – Andy has been a client for over a year.)

No matter the source of your passion, take the time to define the what.  Here’s a great article that provides some more insight of monetizing your passion.

Andy mentioned the website he’s building that feeds into his passion of helping business owners improve their profits through technology.

Justin, Andy, Sounds great. Also this conversation between the two you, it sounds more like two good friends rather than a Coach and his client! That’s what it’s all about! Have a great time this weekend dudes. (I still think you should do a couple Super Coach Weekend Webcast!)

Justin, I have to side with Andy on this one. I’m a perfect example (unfortunately) of someone who has basically managed to basically kill any passion within myself. If not killed, I’ve somehow completely disassociated myself from telling what I’m passionate about (with the exceptions of being a husband and being a father). I’m presently working through the You course with Deb in FAA and it’s EXTREMELY CHALLENGING for me to pin point things that bring joy to me outside of the family.

And I need to follow up with Andy. This is the second or maybe third interview I’ve heard with him in it. He sounds like someone I need to know. Very inspiring and our thought patterns seem to flow in the same direction.

Love the setting for the interview. I would have probably driven into a ditch b/c I don’t multitask very well.
